There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. “Mark 7:15′
Our lives can be complicated due to limited knowledge. While we clamor for purity and search in the wrong places sometimes. Jesus told us that it comes from within.
Everything we are and will ever be comes from the Holy Spirit or the heart. It’s the heart of people that teaches them to kill, steal, hoard malice, envy, strife, jealousy, sexual immorality, etc. But in a miraculous twist, the same heart is where holiness, faithfulness, joy, goodness, kindness, and every good disposition emanate.
The heart is the activity center of human life. Out of it can come both good and evil. So, how do you keep your heart?
In Proverbs 4:23, it says that the issues of life stem from the heart. It is in the heart that we become everything we are. It may sound correct to watch out for food, drink, or other outward rituals. However, Jesus Christ makes a revelation that these things don’t hold much value in the courts of holiness and righteousness. While it’s important to watch what we eat and drink, it is more beneficial to watch where our hearts lead.
Is your heart full of righteousness or unrighteousness? Do you seek to make your heart right with God rather than your outward appearance? What comes out of you is what can truly defile you.
Let us pray:
Dear Lord almighty Heavenly Father, please prepare my heart to keep only the ways of righteousness. Search my heart Lord, and see where iniquity lies. Thank You for the power of You’re Holy Spirit that cleanses my heart, and save me from the dead works of the flesh. Please keep my heart from receiving things that lead to death, and help me avoid being ritualistic in righteousness, but to walk the path of heart circumcision and true the purity of you’re precious define will and timing for my life. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty wonderful, dear infinite loving Lord, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe and abundantly do receive, throughout His marvelous righteous Word and His truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
