Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. “Romans 6:4′
Romans 6:4 states that we have been buried with Christ through baptism into death so that we might also walk in newness of life. This verse teaches us about the mighty power of baptism and its significance in our lives. Baptism is not only a symbol of our faith, but it is also a powerful declaration of our identification with Christ’s death and resurrection.
This verse reminds us that our old self, our sinful nature, was crucified with Christ on the cross, and we were raised to a new life in Him. We are no longer slaves to sin, but rather we have been set free to live a life of righteousness and holiness. This is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of Christ in our lives and the glorious hope that we have in Him.
As we reflect on this beautiful verse, let us be reminded of the incredible gift that we have been given through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Let us renew our commitment to live a life that is pleasing to God and to walk in the newness of life that He has given us. May we be encouraged to put off our old ways and to embrace the new life that Christ has given us, for it is only through Jesus Christ that we have been made new. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, all honor praise and glory to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Let us Pray:
Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, I thank You for the promise of new life through Christ. As this verse says, I am buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by Your glory, I too may walk in newness of life. I pray that You would help me to live out this truth each day, dying to sin and living for righteousness. May Your Holy Spirit continue to transform me and make me more like Jesus Christ, so that I may glorify You in all that I do. Thank you Lord, almighty dear Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name, of Jesus Christ. Amen.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
“2 Corinthians 13:14′
