2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight:
“2 Corinthians 5:7”

As believers, it’s essential that we live by faith and not by sight as the Apostle Paul reminds us in today’s verse. It means that we don’t rely on what we can see or perceive in the natural realm to guide our decisions and actions. Instead, we trust in God and His Word, even when things seem uncertain or unclear.

A great example of this principle can be found in the story of Abraham. In Genesis 12, God calls Abraham to leave his homeland and go to a place that God would show him. Abraham obeyed, even though he did not know where he was going. He trusted in God’s promise to make him into a great nation and to bless all the families of the earth through him.

Throughout Abraham’s journey, he faced many challenges and obstacles. He and his wife Sarah were childless for many years, and he was even asked to sacrifice his son Isaac. But through it all, Abraham continued to trust in God’s promises, even when he couldn’t see how they would come to pass. Because of his faith, he was counted as righteous and became the father of many nations.

Just like Abraham, we too are called to live by faith, not by sight. We may not always understand God’s plans or see the end result, but we can trust in His promises and walk in obedience to Him. By doing so, we can experience the abundant life that God has for us and be a blessing to those around us.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, I thank You for reminding me that I am a spiritual being temporarily living in this physical body. Help me to not lose sight of who I truly am and to always live my life according to Your will and purpose. Just as Abraham had faith in You and obeyed Your command, help me to trust in You and obey Your word even when it goes against the ways of this world. I pray for the strength to resist the temptations of this world and to focus on eternal priorities. May Your infinite love guide me in all that I do and may I reflect Your light to those around me. Thank you Lord, almighty dear Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty wonderful, infinite loving, glorious, dear Lord, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and His truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
