John 1:1-17

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
“John 1:1-17′

The symbol of light represents life, knowledge, and goodness. This verse reminds us that Jesus Christ is the true light. The only real and true light is Jesus Christ, the one and only, absolutely perfect and glorious at all times. Additionally, unlike the Law of Moses, which was given only to the people of Israel, this light is given to everyone, everywhere.

God has illuminated every human being born into this world, since it is not God’s intent that anyone perishes. Each of us receives the light of creation from the outside, and each of us is also given the light of conscience from the inside. Because of the light that humanity has received from God, all are responsible before Him. This is because all possess the knowledge that God exists, however many refuses to acknowledge this truth.

Nevertheless, we are God’s adopted children, since we have trusted in the Lord Jesus as our Saviour and received the light of life in our hearts. It is God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, who has shone into our hearts to enable us to see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Thus, we should set our affections on things above and walk in the light as He is in the light.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thank You for placing Your Holy Spirit in our hearts to lead, direct, govern, and train us. Thank You for giving the light to everyone, to the entire world. Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father help me to walk in Your love and truth, and may the beauty of Jesus Christ shine through my life so that others may also gain a saving knowledge of our Saviour, who is the true and only light and in Whom is everlasting life. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty wonderful, infinite loving, glorious, dear Lord, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and His truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
