For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
“Galatians 5:13‘
Grace governs us rather than the Law. Galatian Christians chose to go back to the old legalistic ways because they were unaware of the freedom found in CHRIST. We, on the other hand, are no longer subject to the curse of the Law. Instead, we are under the law of the Spirit of life in CHRIST JESUS, who has freed us from the law of sin and death through our faith in Him.
The penalty for all sin was paid by the death of CHRIST, which included condemned sin in the flesh. It is a gift to all of us. There is nothing we need to do to earn it. We must simply believe that CHRIST took care of everything for us and paid the price for our sins in full. As a result of CHRIST’S sacrifice on our behalf, we are fulfilling GOD’S holy Law. Because of this sacrifice, we were born of the Holy Spirit of GOD and do not walk in accordance with the flesh.
We should not turn this wonderful freedom we have in the LORD JESUS into an opportunity to indulge in sin. Freedom to sin is not at all freedom because it enslaves us to satan or our sinful natures. We should use our GOD given freedom to serve others and share His everlasting love with people around us to glorify Him.
Let us pray:
Dear LORD, almighty Heavenly Father, I am so very grateful for the liberty in freedom from death through the gift of eternal life in JESUS CHRIST. Thank You for the freedom I have in JESUS. Help me use the freedom wisely and only do what pleases You. I desire to obey your commandments not out of fear, but out of sheer appreciation of your goodness. Thank you dear LORD, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through JESUS CHRIST, our almighty wonderful, infinite loving, glorious, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
