Ephesians 4:13

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: “Ephesians 4:13

When a baby is born into the family, we anticipate his progression to maturity from infancy to adulthood. However, it can become a cause for worry or concern if the baby’s development does not progress as expected. When we are born again in Christ, we assume the position of babies regardless of our age. God takes pleasure in our maturity towards adulthood. The measure of how mature we are is the degree to which we conform to the image of Christ. The end of our spiritual maturity is to attain this standard, the fullness of Christ.

Irrespective of our denomination, God wants all believers to be unified in faith and in our knowledge of Jesus. Unity in faith refers to oneness in our conviction of who God is and the assurance that He can do what He says. Unity in the knowledge of Jesus implies that on the basis of our faith, we know who Jesus is based on experience and not just mere intellectualism.

The issue of differences in our belief system and divisions within Christian circles is solved if we all attain maturity. As we press towards growing into that perfect man, we begin to put away childish things – carnal way of thinking and acting. We tend to increase in love and our expressions of the fruits of the Spirit and our level of spiritual sensitivity is increased as we feed on the solid food of God’s marvelous righteous Word.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thank You for creating men in Your image and likeness with Your infinite love. There are so many divisions in the world today. Please help the many dear hearts and souls and Your churches on earth to be united as one in all things. Help us keep our eyes fixed on You until we transform into the image of Christ. By the help of Your Holy Spirit, let us do away with the carnal nature and grow from being infants in christ to mature sons of God. Let us not just increase in spiritual gifts but also in the fruits of the spirit. Let our love for one another keep us together until the day You come. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through JESUS CHRIST, our almighty wonderful, infinite loving, glorious, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
