Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “Hebrews 11:1

Faith is defined directly in this often quoted verse. The essence of Christian faith is trust, relying on God for the future, and obeying God even when we don’t understand all the details. Ultimately, that means trusting God to come through on His promises.

It is through the eye of faith that we are able to see beyond our present reality and place our focus firmly on divine revelation received from almighty God, through the Words made a flesh. We believe that Scripture contains God’s  marvelous righteous Word of truth, which was written for the purpose of teaching, encouraging, and uplifting us. Having faith enables us to be able to treat as real those things which are unseen, even when circumstances of life seem to contradict God’s Word.

Through holy men of God, God has revealed all that is just, good, and true. Scripture serves as a reliable foundation for building a Christian life. Here faith has nothing in common with so many superficial explanations, which are based on sight, experience, opinion, fancies, dreams, or imaginations. May our faith and hope in Christ be built on the truth, the righteous Word of God, and grounded on a firm trust.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord almighty Heavenly Father, sometimes I’m so entrenched in my own way of thinking, which can lead to confusion and untrue. Throughout my life You alone gave me concrete ‘proof’ that You loved me. It is Your marvelous righteous Word, however, that assures me that you guide me to the truth I need. Because Your Words and promises are true, and Your faithfulness does not cease in the midst of time and space. Thank You for the gift of faith. Throughout my life, I pray that my trust in You and the truth of Your righteous Word will become increasingly established within me, and that You supply me in all that I need. Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty wonderful, infinite loving, glorious, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
