Psalms 100:1-5

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.
Psalms 100:1-5

These beautiful verses of “Psalms 100‘ presents three reasons for praising and thanking the Lord. First, He is good. When it comes to His children, He always does what is best for them. He is the very definition of all that is right, true, and righteous. Second, His infinite love is loyal, steadfast, and everlasting. Third, God’s faithfulness extends to every generation of the human race.

The Lord almighty is good. His mercy endures forever, and His faithfulness endures throughout all generations. Therefore, it is no surprise that we are called upon to make a joyful noise and sing praise to Him who is the source of our salvation. It is no wonder that we are encouraged to serve our God with a joyful heart and to give Him thanks and praise. It is no doubt that we are urged to come into His presence with overflowing gratitude and constantly invoke His holiness.

The only way we can truly know Him is to know Him for Who He is. We also need to reverently and joyfully contemplate all that He has accomplished for us and all that He has promised for the ages to come. Through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we have been able to take advantage of the rich promises that have been extended to us so lavishly. In light of this, we should express gratitude to God for all that covenant of grace has meant to us.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, You are truly a God who is generous and merciful, and I give full praise to Your majestic, glorious, fulfilling holy name, for Your faithfulness, kindness, goodness, and grace. Please allow me to know You more intimately, since You are our God and Saviour. You made us, and we belong to You. For all that You have done for us, I pray that we never lose our sense of awe and wonder. I pray that You will use us to Your glory and praise during our mission here on earth. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty, wonderful, infinite loving, glorious, dear Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
