Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
“John 14:6′
In this verse, Jesus provides reassurance to His disciples in advance of His arrest and death. When faced with hardship, these words provide encouragement to maintain one’s faith. We Christians have confidence because we know that Jesus is preparing to take us to be with Him one day. It is usually much less stressful to travel home than to travel abroad, since we are more familiar with the destination.
The Lord Jesus Himself is really the way; on the cross His body was broken, and a new and living way was established so that we could draw near to God. As the truth, Jesus Christ opens up our understanding of God and imparts knowledge of Him to us. It is an unquestionable truth that confounds human wisdom and silences the presuppositions of prideful humanity. As the life, Jesus Christ breathes His own resurrected life into a fallen man by faith in His resurrection. In Christ, all spiritual life is found, and in Him, all people will find eternal life.
Jesus is the way that we should all follow. Jesus is the truth in whom we must believe. Jesus is the life that gives us hope. As Jesus said, no one can come to the Father except through Me. There is no other way to God; Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life.
Let us pray:
Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, it is a blessing to know that Your ways are higher than ours. Good is in your plans, not evil. You are Love, and Your love dominates all. You are the Way. You are the Truth. You are the Life. Thank You for Your great mercies that You extend each morning. You have led us on a path of righteousness, all for the great name of Jesus Christ. Please help me to maintain a passion for Jesus and to know Him in words and deed. Thank you dear Lord almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name, of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings in Jesus Christ, our almighty, wonderful, infinite loving, glorious dear Lord, Saviour and Redeemer, in who we faithfully abide, trust, believe, and abundantly do receive throughout His marvelous righteous Word and His truth fulfilling Holy Spirit.
