And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. “2 Timothy 2:2′

As Paul explains in this famous verse, discipleship is the process of passing on the faith to others. Throughout Paul’s ministry, his love towards the Lord and passion to spread the gospel of God gained momentum and intensity. When he wrote this letter to Timothy, he knew he would soon be passing away. The first thing he does is remind Timothy of the specific lessons Paul taught him. Timothy was to convey the same message to others who were capable of passing that knowledge on.

The teaching of truth is entrusted to faithful people from generation to generation. Every believer possesses a Bible, but not everyone can perceive its light directly. Therefore, we should respect the legacy of previous generations. spiritual light and discernment. Although there are many false Christs, false prophets, ravenous wolves, and relentless attacks on the Christian Church by the adversary, the pure gospel of grace has reached us. The marvelous righteous Word of God is the source of faith and faith comes from hearing it. Because the gospel was passed down from Paul through many witnesses, faithful men, and others, we have been given the opportunity to learn about it through the Holy Scriptures.

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thanks to Paul, apostles, many witnesses, faithful men and others, we have received the marvelous righteous Word of life. Throughout centuries of time, men and women have shared the gospel of God, and by grace, through faith in Christ, I have been accepted into Your family. I pray that You will grant me the willingness and opportunity to share the gospel of grace with others and bring them into the kingdom for Your name’s sake. Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name, of Jesus Christ. Amen.
