And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. “Romans 8:10‘

We all live in a fallen world of sin. Unfortunately, we are powerless to change this. The good news is that Jesus died to do what we are powerless to do! Through His death and resurrection, we are able to live by the power of the Spirit, but not our own human weakness. By putting our faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, and believing that He paid the full price for our sins on the cross, we are given a new life. Our old sinful body is dead, and the Spirit of God now lives and reigns in us.

It’s only through grace and faith in Christ that we’re made spiritually alive. In salvation, the Spirit of Christ comes to live in our hearts, regenerating and revitalizing our human spirit. By faith in Christ’s finished work at Calvary, we are given the indwelling Spirit of Christ and Christ’s imputed righteousness! Don’t strive against your flesh, but instead learn how to navigate this life in a new way through Jesus. He is in you, and He will lead you by His Spirit.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thank You for Your beloved dear son Jesus and the Holy Spirit, through whom I’ve been given a new life. Thank You that even though I live in a sinful body that’s subject to death, I’ll be clothed with an eternal body through faith in Jesus Christ. Teach me to live a righteous life like Jesus Christ and to do only what pleases You. Help me gain wisdom from Your marvelous righteous Words so I can live my life according to Your divine will. Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name, of Jesus Christ. Amen.
