Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
“Hebrews 6:19‘
Navigating the vast ocean of life can be daunting. But when we realize God is steering the boat, diving into the deep becomes less scary. Our verse today reminds us that in Jesus, our soul has an anchor of hope. Nothing can break it and nothing can take it away. It is sure, certain, and safe. It is steadfast, firm, and reliable. It is housed within the veil of the heavenly temple, where the very presence of God dwells.
Why is it important for us to know that our hope is anchored in the holy of holies, where God’s glory resides? It is completed by verse 20. As our forerunner, Jesus entered the holy of holies on our behalf. From birth to death, He ran the race of human life and rose triumphantly from the dead. Following in His footsteps gives us an anchor for our souls. Our hope for a new life after death comes from the fact that Jesus lived, died, and rose again.
Through His infinitely precious blood and His indestructible life, Jesus entered the holy of holies once and for us all. Even when we don’t know it all, we can have hope in the finished work of Jesus Christ our High Priest that lasts forever.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, while I face so many uncertainties in my life today, I know You are trustworthy, and I can always rely on You. Thank You for giving us hope in Jesus Christ, through whom I have gained access to Your holy presence. I am at peace knowing that the future You promised is sure and secured. Keep my mind, heart, and soul anchored in You when the waves of life are high and threatening. Strength my faith and Let my heart overflow with hope regardless of the circumstances. Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father.
I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings through Jesus Christ, our almighty, wonderful dear Lord, Saviour and Redeemer.

What a timely post for me!! I have been reading through the book of Hebrews this week, verse by verse in the KJV, and just finished this morning. I’ve read the entire Bible in many translations countless times over the last 35 years since I was born again. And yet, I don’t know why, but I never realized how many of my fav scriptures are in Hebrews. I’m thinking Hebrews is a book I need to place at the center of my life right now. Like you said in this post, the sacrifice of Christ on the altar of his body and what that means to New Covenant Christians will change your focus forever. Yes, we’ve all read this a hundred times. But do we really LIVE in this victory? Not so much. Not as much as I would like to every minute of the day. So this time, when I finish reading through the New Testament, I plan to go back and dive deep into Hebrews again, study each verse, and try to walk in this wisdom and revelation. I think it’s time. 😊
