Colossians 1:12

Giving thanks unto the Father, who has made us worthy to share in the inheritance of the saints in light: “Colossians 1:12

In the aftermath of the Fall in the Garden of Eden, mankind found itself in need of redemption, and God, in His infinite divine wisdom, devised a plan to restore humanity for all eternity. He selected Israel as His chosen people, appointing them to be His representatives and ambassadors, tasked with bringing the rest of the world closer to God. To equip them for this monumental task, God provided them with the law, ordinances, and statutes that would ensure they exemplify the values and principles of His kingdom. However, the overpowering influence of our sinful nature rendered this task impossible to accomplish on our own. Recognizing this, God, driven by His boundless grace, chose His only begotten, beloved Son, Jesus Christ and save the entire human race from the clutches of sin.

Before our salvation through faith in Jesus, we were trapped in our sins, unworthy of witnessing His glory or experiencing His blessings. But God, in His immense grace, achieved victory over sin on our behalf by sacrificing His beloved dear Son, Jesus Christ on the cross. It is through His grace that our sinful records have been wiped clean. We have been absolved and set free, given the opportunity to start afresh with God. Our salvation not only grants us freedom, but also the privilege of being called His children. The precious blood of Jesus paid the price for our release from sin, making us not only sons and daughters of God, but also heirs of His divine inheritance, alongside Jesus and our fellow believers.

Let us not forget that all of this is possible solely because of God’s grace. We should take great honor in His work of grace, as it is the foundation of our salvation and all the blessings it bestows upon us.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty
Heavenly Father, I express my heartfelt gratitude to You for redeeming a sinner like me through the precious blood of Your Son, Jesus. I am humbled and grateful that His sacrifice has made it possible for a sinner like me to experience the privilege of bearing the name of God. I pray to never take Your grace for granted. Grant me the grace to honor You with everything I have and everything I am. Guide me in living a life that radiates eternal gratitude for all the ways in which You have blessed me, and may my words be filled with constant praise for Your grace forevermore.
Thank you, dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I lift this prayer up to You throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

May we constantly experience an overwhelming abundance of love, joy, peace, and blessings through our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our almighty, wonderful dear Lord, Saviour, and Redeemer.
