Luke 5:37-39

And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for He saith, The old is better.

In this beautiful, inspiring bible passage of “Luke 5:37-39” Jesus teach us about the concept of new and old wineskins. He used this true analogy to explain that new teachings and ideas cannot be contained or understood within the old ways of thinking and living. Just as new wine cannot be poured into old wineskins without bursting them, the Gospel message and the Kingdom of God require a fresh perspective and a true desirable heart that’s hungry to hear the truth of our almighty dear Heavenly Father.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be open to the glorious fulfilling works of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We must be willing to let go of our old ways of thinking and living, in order to receive a glorious and desired fulfilling life that Jesus offers us so abundantly. This means by surrendering our hearts daily in prayers to our almighty dear Heavenly Father, and become to abide in His precious devine will. in order to do so we need to read the marvelous, righteous Word of our almighty dear Heavenly Father, and pray to become to receive the truth throughout His Holy Spirit.

Let us Pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, I come to you with an open heart and a willingness to be transformed by Your marvelous, righteous Word and truth fulfilling Holy Spirit. Help me to let go of old habits and ways of thinking that are hindering my growth in maturing through You. Give me the strength and courage to embrace the new things you are doing in my life and in the world around me. May I be like a new wineskin, ready to hold the new wine of your Kingdom and to pour out Your infinite love and grace to those around me. Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
