Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

In these inspiring,verses of Jeremiah, we see a beautiful picture of the blessings that come from trusting in the LORD. The imagery of a tree planted by water is used to illustrate the life of a person who puts their trust in GOD. Just as a tree that is well watered is able to withstand the heat and continue to bear fruit, so too is the person who trusts in the LORD able to thrive in difficult circumstances.

The message of these 2 verses is clear, when we trust in the LORD, we can have confidence that He will provide for us, sustain us, and enable us to bear fruit even in the midst of challenging seasons. This is a powerful reminder that our trust in GOD is not in vain, but rather it leads to a life that is deeply rooted, fruitful, and unwavering in the face of our journeys.

Dear LORD, almighty HEAVENLY FATHER, we thank you for the powerful, inspiring message found in Jeremiah 17:7-8. We confess that at times, we struggle to trust in You completely, especially in the midst of difficult circumstances. We pray that You would help us to deepen our trust in You, knowing that You are faithful to sustain us and enable us to bear fruit in every season of life. We ask for the strength to be like the tree planted by water, unwavering in our trust in You and able to withstand the heat and drought that come our way. Help us to send out our roots by the stream of Your living water, finding our nourishment and sustenance in You alone. May we be rooted and grounded in Your love, and may our lives bear abundant fruit for Your glory.
We thank you, dear LORD, almighty HEAVENLY FATHER, that you are the source of all blessing and that when we trust in You, we can experience the fullness of your provision and care. Help us to rely on Your strength and not our own, knowing with a trustworthy, peacefully understanding that You are the one and only sovereign, reigning HEAVENLY FATHER who sustains us in every season of our life. We pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen!
