Living by Faith, Not by Feelings or Sight.

Welcome to a new Bible Study of Living by Faith, Not by Feelings or Sight.

Let’s reason and take an inspiring verse by verse look at the following verses below, followed with a Summary and Prayer.

Vers 1: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)

This foundational verse reminds us that our journey through life is guided by faith in GOD rather than our limited perceptions. Walking by faith means trusting in GOD’S promises and His divine plan, even when circumstances seem uncertain or challenging.

Verse 2: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Faith is not a mere wish; it is a firm assurance in what we hope for. It gives us confidence in GOD’S unseen work in our lives. This verse encourages us to focus on the spiritual realities that GOD has promised, rather than the temporary feelings or visible situations that may cloud our judgment.

Verse 3: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6)

In this remarkable vers of Proverbs 3:5-6, we are called to surrender all our own understanding and emotions to GOD. Trusting GOD fully means recognizing that our feelings can be misleading. By acknowledging Him in every aspect of our lives, we allow Him to guide us, ensuring that our paths align with His divine purpose.

Verse 4: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love GOD, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”(Romans 8:28)

This above verse reassures us that even when we cannot see the good in our circumstances, GOD is working behind the scenes for our benefit. Our faith in His goodness allows us to remain steadfast, even when our feelings suggest otherwise.

Verse 5: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
(James  1:2-3)

Trials and challenges are part of our journey, but they serve a great purpose. Instead of relying on our feelings during tough times, we are encouraged to find joy in the growth that comes from these experiences. Faith transforms our perspective, allowing us to see trials as opportunities for spiritual maturity.

Let’s summarise this Bible study together:

In our spiritual walk with GOD, we are reminded to live by faith rather than by feelings or sight. The Scriptures teach us that faith is the foundation of our hope and assurance in GOD’S promises. By trusting fully in Him, acknowledging His guidance, and finding joy in trials, we can navigate life’s uncertainties with confidence. Our feelings may fluctuate, and our sight may be limited, but GOD’S faithfulness remains constant.

Let’s lift our prayers before GOD’S Holy Throne-room:

Dear LORD almighty HEAVENLY FATHER, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that our understanding is limited and our feelings can lead us astray. Help us to walk by faith and in Your truth fulfilling promises and guidance. Strengthen our spirits to find joy in our trials and to rely on Your wisdom rather than our own. May we always seek to acknowledge You in all our ways, knowing  that You are working all things for our good. Thank you dear LOR, almighty HEAVENLY FATHER’ we pray this throughout the mighty glorious fulfilling name of JESUS CHRIST, AMEN!

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings to You, through JESUS CHRIST, our almighty, fulfilling, dear LORD, SAVIOUR and REDEEMER!
