One way to ensure the continued existence of one’s principles, ideologies and values is by transferring them to others. An effective way of getting this done is by teaching one’s beliefs either formally or informally. We teach values instructively in a formal classroom setting or simply by modeling them. By doing so we raise men who share the same philosophies with the hope that they would also pass them on to others. We transfer our genetic beliefs to them doctored in a certain curriculum to the end of shaping their lives and thought patterns in a way that is similar to ours.

The end of fulfilling the Great commission is making disciples for Christ. We are able to achieve this by teaching the principles and practices of Christian living to be renewed as they were taught by Christ himself. Spiritually matured believers have the responsibility to train and instruct the many dear hearts and souls, so that they may mature. The teaching curriculum consists of Christ’s teachings recorded in the gospels and instructions given by the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ. It is also important to remember that Christ’s nature and character should be taught without adding our own interpretation or taking His words out of context.

As we commit to this teaching ministry under His authority, we are assured of His ever abiding presence no matter our journeys or circumstances in life.

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thank You for counting me worthy to follow You. Thank You for delivering me from the kingdom of darkness and translating me to the kingdom of Your dear Son. I pray that You raise spiritually matured disciples to train and teach Young believers. Help us by Your Spirit to be enlightened in the ways of God. Give me a heart that is willing to learn and do all Your commands. Guide me to obey all of Your instructions and lead a life that is in a accordance to the nature and character of Christ. I pray this throughout the mighty glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
