They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. “Psalms 34:5″

Putting our trust in the Lord almighty not only changes our hearts but also changes the way we look. Instead of despair and hopelessness, there is peace and joy. This is because we don’t look at our circumstances, but rather look to Him in every circumstance. And when we look to the Lord, we will be lightened, radiant with joy, and our faces will never be shamed.

When we spend time with God, letting the Holy Spirit work in our lives, we becoming to walk in the glorious radiate joy, hope, and acceptance. Because of His forgiveness and infinite love for us, we do not have to feel ashamed of our sins. The light of His infinite love will remove any shadows that cloud our expressions when we look to Him for help.

Do not be ashamed or guilty about taking time to be still in the Lord’s presence. As we seek His glorious face, we will find all that we have longed for, our hope, our strength, our security, our light, and our salvation. How great is our almighty, dear Heavenly Father. He deserves all the honor, praise and glory forevermore!

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, I lift my eyes above the troubles around me and look to You. Please stay close to me as I face challenges and temptations. Don’t let the evil one bring me shame because of my sins and weaknesses. Please help me to keep my eyes on You at all times. Cloth me with Your infinite love so that I will never lose joy or hope. May I reflect Your infinite love in this world so that more people can see Your glorious goodness and be drawn to You. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name, of Jesus Christ. Amen.
