Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. “Joshua 1:8”

The marvelous, righteous Word of God is a powerful way to meditate on and internalize the Scriptures. In the book of Joshua, God instructs Joshua to meditate on the law day and night “Joshua 1:8“. This consistent meditation and repetition of His Word helps to renew our minds and transform our hearts.

Similarly, singing songs of praise is also a beautiful way to repeat and reflect on the truths of God’s Word.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:16

“Colossians 3:16” encourages believers to sing with joy and gratitude in their hearts to God, and to let the message of Christ dwell among them richly as they teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Holy Spirit.

As we engage in Bible study and prayer, incorporating repetition of the Word and singing songs of praise can deepen our understanding and appreciation of God’s fulfiling truth. It can also help to draw us closer to God and strengthen our faith. So, let us continue to meditate on and repeat in the marvelous righteous Word of God, and sing praises to His glorious, fulfilling name, as we seek to grow in our intimate relationship with Him every single day.

Let us Pray:

Dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise found in (Joshua 1:8 and Colossians 3:16) that as I meditate on Your marvelous, righteous Word day and night and observe to do everything written in it, I will be successful and prosperous. Help me to prioritize Your Word in my life, to seek understanding and wisdom from it, and to live it out in my actions. May Your Word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path, guiding me in all that I do. I pray for Your strength and guidance to live according to Your Word, that I may experience the success and prosperity promised in this verse. Thank you dear Lord, almighty Heavenly Father. I pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings to you, through Jesus Christ, our infinite loving, glorious, fulfilling, dear Lord, Saviour and Redeemer.

  1. Raising our voices in song is truly an inspiring way to worship our Lord and Savior. Listening to others sing hymns and songs can be even more inspiring. Praise the Lord for all voices-even the ones that are off key! Thank you, Brother PieTeR, for your message of sharing God’s Holy Word. 🙂

    1. Amen and Amen Sister Nancy that’s certainly very true. It’s beauti ful to see how worship music can uplift our spirits and connect us with God in worship. As “Psalm 95:1-2” says, “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” 🎶 If you ever want to discuss more about the power of worship through music or any other topic, feel free to share. Let’s continue praising God together!
