After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. “Revelation 4:1-6“
The inspiring verses of “Revelation 4:1-6” takes us into the throne room of heaven, where John sees a vision of GOD’S majesty and glory. As we read these verses, we are reminded that our GOD is a powerful, majestic, and holy GOD. The imagery of the throne, the elders, and the living creatures all point to the sovereignty and divine greatness of GOD.
In our daily lives, it can be easy to forget the grandeur of GOD and to reduce Him to just another aspect of our busy lives. This beautiful, inspiring passage’s reminds us that GOD is worthy of our awe, reverence, and worship. As we meditate on these verses, let us allow to refocus our hearts and minds on the greatness of our dear, almighty, sovereign, reigning, glorious HEAVENLY FATHER.
Let us Pray:
Dear LORD, almighty HEAVENLY FATHER, we come before your throne-room with awe and reverence, recognizing your greatness and majesty. We confess that we often forget the grandeur of who You are and reduce You to just a small part of our lives. Forgive us for our lack of reverence and awe. Help us to see and receive You as our majestic sovereign, reigning, glorious fulfilling LORD of LORD’S, KING off KING’S, OUR SAVIOUR AND REDEEMER. Open our eyes to your glory and lead us to worship You with all of our hearts, in spirit and in truth. Thank you dear LORD, almighty HEAVENLY FATHER.
We pray this throughout the mighty, glorious, fulfilling name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen!
Much LoVe, JoY, Peace and Blessings to You, through JESUS CHRIST, our LORD, SAVIOUR and REDEEMER.
