Understanding our identity in CHRIST

Let us reason and take an inspiring verse by verse look in the marvelous righteous Word of GOD, followed with a summary and uplifting Prayer before GOD’S throne-room.

Understanding our identity in CHRIST is essential for living a fulfilling Christian life. I hope and trust in uplifting prayer before GOD’S throne-room, that this study will guide us through key verses that highlight our worth, the grace we receive, and the importance of self reflection.

Bible verses on our Identity in CHRIST:

1. “Therefore if any man be in CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

This promised, beautiful vers of 1 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that in CHRIST we are transformed. Our past does not define us; we are made new. Embracing this truth allows us to let go of any guilt or shame.

2. “I am crucified with CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of GOD, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
(Galatians 2:20)

Our identity is intertwined with CHRIST’S sacrifice. We do not live for ourselves but for GOD, who truly loves us by giving us His one and only beloved dear SON, JESUS CHRIST. This true beautiful realization empowers and teach us to live boldly in our faith.

Accepting GOD’S Grace:

3. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

GOD’S Grace is a such a priceless, beautiful gift, not something we earn. Accepting this grace frees us from the burden of trying to be perfect. It reminds us that we are worthy simply because GOD loves us so dearly much!

4. “But GOD commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us.”
(Romans 5:8)

GOD’S infinite love is unconditional. He loved us even in our brokenness. When we Accepting His grace it means to recognizing our worthiness in His eyes, regardless of our past circumstances.

Engaging in Self Reflection:

5. “Search me, O GOD, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24)

Self reflection is a very vital part of our spiritual growth. By Inviting GOD to search our hearts helps us identify areas needing change and growth, leading us closer to Him.

6. “Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.”(Lamentations 3:40)

This inspiring and encouraging vers teach us to examine our lives and turn back to GOD. Self reflection is not just about identifying our flaws but also about seeking His divine guidance for a renewed path.

How to recognize our worthiness in CHRIST:

7. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

We are chosen and set apart by GOD. Recognizing our worth as part of His royal family empowers us to live with great purpose and confidence.

8. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

In CHRIST, we are free from condemnation. This wonderful assurance allows us to embrace our identity and worth without fear of judgment.

Let’s summarize this Bible Study together:

Embracing our identity in CHRIST, and by accepting GOD’S grace, and engaging in self reflection are very essential for our spiritual growth. We are new creations, loved unconditionally, and worthy of GOD’S grace. By recognizing our worth in CHRIST, we can live boldly and purposefully, and reflecting His infinite love to the world.
